Service Description

This class runs Wednesday evenings from 6pm-8 or 9pm for 4 weeks on Zoom for the LIVE portion. 1 Class ticket includes: -You and one partner's attendance -3 months online access to asynchronous learning videos -4 LIVE ZOOM sessions with Rachelle -1 printed workbook Childbirth Class features… -5 weeks recorded self-paced content from the Creator of Evidence Based Birth® Dr. Rebecca Dekker that you and your partner will watch between live meeting dates. -LIVE coached rehearsals of Advanced comfort measures and advocacy skills -Mentorship from an experienced Evidence Based Birth® Instructor and Birth Doula -4 LIVE virtual classes with your EBB Instructor and classmates to prepare for the labor process and practice your labor skills -BONUS: Breastfeeding and newborn care videos Unlike hospital workshops I will ensure you understand your options for navigating the hospital system and we will be learning all advanced comfort measures, like birth ball, TENS, acupressure and more in order to have a full toolkit of comfort strategies. In the last week's live session we will be trying a lot of these comfort measures. It's helpful to have an exercise ball, massage tools, a rolling pin, and a long non-stretchy scarf for week 4. This instructor also recommends finding an app or strategy to help with the head game of birth. Recommended apps are: Freya App, Expectful app, or Insight Timer. It's not required and the class can be taken without the apps, but it's a great companion.
